You’ve probably seen me around, the loud 6’8” guy with a smile on his face, and wondered “what’s he all about?” well you’re in luck because it’s official bio time. Born in Germany, moved to Kitsap when I was three and I’ve been calling the gorgeous PNW my home ever since. Graduated class of 2004 from Bainbridge Island High school, then pursued a degree in power plant management that was quickly interrupted by the “surprise” (that’s what we call it) birth of my daughter. I found out fast that a minimum wage job was not going to support my new family and started my commercial-Industrial electrical apprenticeship. I was a fully licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Washington when in 2012 I took the heart-stopping pay cut offered by the PSNS apprenticeship, but I was tired of being on the road and I couldn’t complain about the benefits. Even if I was starting over at square one, the career opportunities seemed limitless and that dream got me through the Top Ramen years. I eventually made it to the big leagues, becoming the Maintenance Electrical supervisor for S/06M (previously S/31M) and winning a spot on the FMA board. Recently, I’ve accepted a project manager position with C/980S, remember what I said about opportunities? I hope to bring a new energy and perspective to our chapter and look forward to using my talents to serve the Federal Managers Association.
