Born in Michigan and retired Navy, 21 yrs (active/reserves E-6); 23 yrs total fed service. First duty station brought me out here in 1996, USS Sacramento (AOE-1). Worked for Lockheed Martin after active duty (2004), deployed to Kuwait in 2006 (reserves Operation Iraqi Freedom) -retired 2018. I have one child and he is the apple of my eye! Fun fact, my cousins own and operate Kegler’s pizza, Naval Base Whidbey. My Mother retired from GM after 39.2 years; Father after 25 years –both worked in Pontiac and Flint (many may have heard of these cities). I have 3 siblings back in Michigan. I grew up barrel racing; my sister still rides today and has won many wins and titles under her belt
I was recruited to join FMA a few years ago while working in Code 440.12 Industrial Management, CVN Support (lots of OT). I really enjoy every minute interacting with FMA members. FMA helped me become more confident, well-versed in many areas while sitting down conversing at FMA dinners with PSNS professionals. Not to mention the Golf Tournament is great fun! Currently I am employed at NAVFAC NW FEAD Bangor. I manage and award complex construction contracts in support of SWFPAC, Bangor and Keyport. I am a Contract Specialist. My career began in 2008 as a NACC Intern (Contracting). Hobbies: Playing cards, golfing, renovating houses; traveling and keeping in touch with friends.
