Recently, I took a career move, and after 13 years of federal service, I have decided to take my experience to the public sector as the Administrative Director for the Poulsbo Fire Department. Though I am no longer considered a federal employee, my retirement, family, and household income are all affected by the legislation imposed on the federal workforce. I decided to remain on the board to continue to fight for federal workers and protect the benefits and wages that are deserved. I have been married for six years and have three children. I joined Federal Managers Association (FMA) in 2018 after traveling to Washington, D.C., to learn how legislation affects the federal workforce. The local and national contribution that FMA provides was so uplifting that I decided to join to become more involved with the community and my peers.
I look forward to another year serving as a board member and getting others to be as passionate as I am.
